Most of the Oversized Sturgeon come up the Columbia when the Shad run begins which is usually in April. This is a fishery you don't want to miss out on. No where else in the world can you catch so many big hard fighting fish for so cheap! Hence the name "Poor Man's Marlin".

The best time to catch these monsters is from April-September. The average fish are 8-10 feet in lengthand weigh anywhere from 150-600 pounds! 5-10 fish to the boat per day is most common. These Fish are catch and release only and well worth the time and energy to experience.

The Famous Columbia River holds the worlds' largest population of the Great White Sturgeon. These fish grow in excess of 15 feet and live to be over 100 years of age. Keeper Sturgeon range is limited from 42 to 60 inches in length. The best time to catch these great tasting fish is January through July. However, limits of keepers are caught often year round. 20-50 fish days are common.

Spring Salmon season starts in late March and runs through May. Fall Salmon season opens August 1st and Goes into October. Salmon are returning in record book numbers. Last year was the best year ever for this fishery. This year is expected to be even better!! With usually great weather, limits are expected daily in August and September. Sometimes limits are caught in just minutes!!!
